Cancellation

The guest will be charged the total price of the reservation if they cancel anytime.

Prepayment

The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price of the reservation anytime.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children of all ages are allowed.

Up to 3 children (up to and including 11 years old) stay for ZAR 250 per child per night when using existing beds.

Up to 3 children (from 12 years old to 17 years old) stay for ZAR 500 per child per night when using existing beds.

CONDITIONS OF STAY: DISCLAIMER

BREAKFAST – Please pre-book your seating time (between 07h00 and 09h30) at reception. Additional costs per child per day for breakfast will apply to children 5 years and older.

INDEMNITY/LIABILITY – Whilst every reasonable precaution has been taken to ensure the safety of all the above-mentioned guests & their possessions whilst on the premises, we as the owner and/or any staff member will not be held responsible for any accidents; injury; damage or loss sustained for whatever reason or by whatever cause while staying at our premises at The Sandcastle Guesthouse. Guests are always encouraged to lock their rooms if unattended. The Sandcastle Guesthouse does not accept any responsibility whatsoever for any damages to, or theft from the rooms in the establishment, The Guest is advised to have and is responsible for insurance to cover loss of baggage, personal effects, and money and for any form of personal injury. The Guest and all persons accompanying him/her as mentioned above therefore hereby indemnify the owners of the premises situated at NO 105 Mostert ROAD MELKBOSSTRAND for all losses and injuries sustained by whatever cause and irrespective as to who or what was responsible, therefore.

BEHAVIOUR – The Sandcastle Guesthouse reserves the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behavior of the Guest or invitees of the Guest who must take all steps necessary for corrective action as requested by the management of the establishment. In the event of failure to comply with management’s request, the establishment may terminate a booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation.

NON-SMOKING POLICY – All indoor venues of the establishment are non-smoking. Guests wishing to smoke may do so at the cigarette bins in the designated area (enquire at reception). The Sandcastle Guesthouse reserves the right to charge an additional amount for the cleaning of the room and loss of business for 24 hours after the Guest has departed to clear any room of smoke before re-letting to a non-smoking Guest. Should the non-smoking policy not be adhered to a fine of R1000 (One Thousand Rand) will be payable immediately apart from extra cleaning- or loss of business charges.

PHOTO RELEASE – The Guest grants The Sandcastle Guesthouse the right to take photographs and/or video material of the Guest and any companions and grants this establishment permission to use such photographs and/or video material for any lawful purpose, including such purposes as publication, illustration, advertising, and Web content.

CHECK OUT – Guests must vacate their rooms by 10:00 on the day of departure (unless prior authorization is obtained from the Manager). Guests are kindly asked to report to reception on check-out. Late check-out is available upon request but is subject to availability and may incur an additional charge.

DAMAGE TO OR REMOVAL OF THE SANDCASTLE GUESTHOUSE PROPERTY Guests will be responsible for any damage caused to the establishment or any furnishings, fittings, and equipment therein by any act or omission of the Guest or his/her invitees or guests. The Sandcastle Guesthouse reserves the right to charge Guests the cost of replacing any items that are removed from the establishment by them without consent. The charge will be the full replacement amount of the missing item. Should the fact that any damage has occurred, or any item is missing become known after the Guest has departed, The Sandcastle Guesthouse reserves the right to make a charge to the Guests’ credit card or send an invoice for the amount to the registered address.

LOST PROPERTY – Goods left behind by a Guest or any other lost property, the establishment will retain such items and if an item is not reclaimed within 3 months of the Guest’s departure, it will be disposed of by the establishment at its discretion.

CANCELLATION BY The Sandcastle GuesthouseThe establishment shall be entitled to cancel any bookings immediately if a Guest is in arrears with payment to the establishment, or if a Guest breach any of the other of these Terms and Conditions as set out in this agreement.

GENERAL

  1. a) The Sandcastle Guesthouse reserves the right to deduct any sums owed to it by the Guest and the exercise of such right shall be without prejudice to any other rights which the establishment may have in terms of this Agreement or in law.
  2. b) The Agreement will be construed in accordance with South Africa law and the Guest agrees to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

c)Any notice or invoice hereunder shall be duly served on either party if delivered to their last known address.

  1. d) No variation of this Agreement shall be valid unless it is in writing and signed by, or on behalf of, each of the parties.
  2. e) If any provision of the Agreement is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall, to the extent required, be deemed not to form part of this Agreement and the validity and enforceability of the other provisions of this agreement shall not be affected.
  3. f) Failure to exercise, or any delay in exercising, any right or remedy provided under this Agreement by law to The Sandcastle Guesthouse shall not constitute a waiver of that (or any other) right or remedy, nor shall it preclude or restrict any further exercise of that (or any other) right or remedy.

IN THE EVENT THAT A GUEST HAS A COMPLAINT DURING HIS/HER STAY AT THE ESTABLISHMENT, HE/SHE MUST BRING IT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO ALLOW THE GUESTHOUSE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE DURING YOUR STAY.
